What's Included?
The "Training Program" is a 50-Hour Dance Certification for teachers & choreographers. It includes training by Senior American Dance Staff in anatomy & kinesiology; dance technique; dance class sequencing; history & philosophy; dance combinations & choreography; successful business practices; and American Dance core values. The "Room & Board" fee includes lodging and daily meals from Thursday night dinner through Wednesday morning breakfast.

Life at ADU in Squaw Valley, CA
Squaw Valley USA, perhaps best known for its world class skiing and snowboarding, and for being the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, is located 10 miles from Tahoe City and the historic town of Truckee, CA. At SVA, dance teacher trainees are stay in double-occupancy log cabin-esque dorms with shared bathrooms, providing a community-living environment great for networking and making new friends! Amenities include community lounges (for watching TV and hanging out), laundry facilities, and a "Dance Canteen" for basic supplies, snacks, beverages and American Dance apparel and souvenirs.
If you live in the Tahoe area or will be staying nearby, you are welcome to attend the dance teacher training as a day student. We even partner with area hotels to offer vacation packages - contact us for more information! Day students participate in all classes and activities with residential students, but pay the "Training Program" fee only. Day students must purchase a meal card.
